Kristin believes the best thing to help our families is make sure they have the opportunity to secure good-paying jobs. As a successful business person, she knows how to make it happen. In Harrisburg, she will start by cutting our highest-in-the-nation corporate income tax to make PA competitive with other states. She will make our regulatory system fair and predictable, and fight for an education system that prepares people with the skills employers want. And she will make the state a supporter of entrepreneurs and small businesses instead of a roadblock.
When Kristin talks about improving education, it's not empty words... it's a fight she has been leading for years as a Council Rock School Board member. Here at home, Kristin worked to safely re-open schools, and give parents a greater say in their kids' education - all while making sure kids receive a quality education. In Harrisburg, she will focus on investment, accountability, and choice to improve education for every child. She also knows that not everyone benefits from the same education which is why she supports traditional, home, technical, and vocational schooling options for students.
Kristin thinks the best way to help taxpayers is to spend less of their money - and make sure what is spent is done so smartly and efficiently. Kristin will fight for taxpayers by working to pass a Taxpayers' Bill of Rights that limits spending. She will also fight to end the per diems and special perks for politicians, and limit the debt government can take on - so we don't overwhelm our children and grandchildren. Kristin will also fight for real property tax relief so people who have worked their entire lives to purchase their home never have to worry about losing it.
Kristin believes that every resident should feel safe in their homes or in our community - which is why she is endorsed by our local Fraternal Order of Police. As Representative, she will stand with law enforcement, work with residents to partner in fighting crime, and support smart policies that punish criminals for the harm they do to our communities - especially criminals who use guns. Kristin will also support the fire fighters and EMS workers who give so much of themselves to help us.
Kristin is deeply committed to helping our local communities be the best they can be. That is why she will work for important grant funding to support needed infrastructure improvements; support environmental initiatives to protect open space and our waterways; and spend the time to meet with local elected officials, community and civic groups, and residents to hear their concerns and develop commonsense solutions.
Kristin understands people's frustration with today's election system as well as anyone because as a local candidate she had to wait six weeks for results of her campaign. She believes that no one should ever worry about the integrity or security of our elections - regardless of their party. No one. That's why Kristin will fight for commonsense reforms to improve our election system - like annual reviews and updates of the state's voter registration records. Her goal is our goal: fair and secure elections, every year.
